This year Farmers’ Mutual Insurance of Callaway County has two scholarships to offer.

First scholarship is for Farmers’ Mutual Insurance.

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship:

  • Applicant’s family must be a current policyholder of Farmers’ Mutual Ins. Co. of Callaway Co.
  • Applicant must be beginning their post secondary education (college, vocational school or community college) for the first time in the fall following high school graduation.
  • Applicant must submit a written essay on a topic chosen by the scholarship committee.
  • All applications must be postmarked on or before April 2, 2021 to qualify.

Selection Guidelines:

  • Members of the Scholarship Committee will review all applications to insure eligibility as an applicant.
  • Scholarship recipients will be notified via mail/email in May.

Distribution Guidelines:

  • A minimum of 2 scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded each year.
  • The scholarship award will be paid to the recipient following the completion of the first semester and prior to the start of the second semester.

Second scholarship is for Grinnell Mutual Insurance.

Applications must be submitted (emailed or postmarked) by March 15.

We are pleased to present Grinnell Mutual’s Road to Success Scholarship Program to our senior high school customers for the 16th consecutive year. Grinnell Mutual will award up to $80,000 in scholarships to policyholders for the 2021-2022 academic school year. The past success of this program, awarding more than $900,000 in college scholarships to high school seniors, is a tribute to our policyholders. The Road to Success Scholarship Program honors deserving high school seniors in their pursuit of higher education.

Scholarship applicants must either have 1) their own auto policy OR 2) be listed as a driver (of an auto) on a personal auto policy with Grinnell Mutual or Grinnell Select Insurance and have no traffic accidents or violations. Your senior year is finally here and you’ve worked hard to earn good grades. Grinnell Mutual would like to reward you for your efforts as both a good student and a good driver. We are proud to continue the Road to Success Scholarship Program, designed just for Grinnell Mutual customers. Eighty $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors.


A high school senior eligible for the $1,000 Road to Success scholarship:

  • Is currently insured through a personal auto policy with Grinnell Mutual or Grinnell Select, or is a dependent named on a Grinnell Mutual or Grinnell Select insurance policy
  • Maintains a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Has a clean driving record (no accidents or violations)
  • Plans to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the fall of 2021 as a full-time student
  • Is not a dependent of any Grinnell Mutual employee or affiliated agent

The student or the student’s parent or guardian must be a Grinnell Mutual customer when the scholarship is awarded. If the auto policy is canceled prior to this time for any reason, the scholarship is void and another recipient may be chosen.


All scholarship recipients are randomly selected from qualified applicants. The selection decision will be final. Recipients will be notified by either their agents or a representative from Grinnell Mutual prior to graduation.
